Groovin’ is available in audio!
You can now listen to my escapades during the late 1960s. The perfect summer entertainment! Narrator J. R. Moorland brings my stories alive as I hitchhike across the country, work at a circus, and ride a horse hundreds of miles through the Rocky Mountain wilderness—just one step ahead of the draft and the Vietnam War. Join me and my canine companion, Charlie, as we meet one colorful character after another, from a loudmouthed carnival boss to an ax-loving dishwasher to a sultry flower child, whose bewitching powers lead to lust and longing—and heartbreak. Listen to a sample here:
Against the backdrop of a unique period in American history, Groovin' is certain to warm your heart, bring a smile to your face, and inspire you to make every day an adventure.

My summer schedule is pretty busy with teaching, research, and farm- / pet-sitting, but my husband and I are hoping to get in at least a few road trips with our dog Charley in our new "adventure van". The trips will involve some combination of hiking, road biking, canoeing, and / or kayaking.

Rich, our adventure is to visit my daughter and our two grandsons (aged one and a half and five) in Illinois and then attend a family reunion in Michigan with 60 plus relatives. A true adventure!

Of course, I have. In fact, every individual needs to have courage in order to follow their dreams. Because it is a task where a person takes a chance on an uncertain future. Well, you must be able to recognize your fears in order to find courage. Reaching the dream is an accomplishment and I don't think it is possible for a person to become successful overnight. You have to go through many years of hard work, pain, and self-unsureness, to reach your dream. If I am not wrong, I think persistence will be the key in that case.
